Gloucester Sausage Company

Since we started at the Gloucester Old Spot nearly four years ago, we have always strived to buy fresh local ingredients, and when it comes to meat, The Gloucester Sausage Company has always been the best place to go! The majority of our meat, including Steaks and of course Sausages comes from the Gloucester Sausage Company and is highly recommended.

Gloucester Sausage Company was founded in 1983 by Howard and Linda Duberley. Initially set up just to make sausages, however Howard's customers from his other butcher shops asked him to get them meat as well. From then on the product range has grown every year. Stuart altered the shop in 1995 and introduced a range of speciality sausages. In 2007 when the unit next to The Gloucester Sausage company became available, the decision was made to expand, and a new 'cooked' section was added. The new shop was finished in 2008, just in time for the 25th Anniversary event.

Contenders start the eating competition

The Sausage company have always supported us during our Beer and Cider Festivals, with the Beer festival featuring Sausage Platters showcasing the best of the Gloucester Sausage Companys Sausages. Stuart has championed our Beer festival and in 2011 launched the Sausage Eating competition which brings a crowd of hungry folk!

The Gloucester Sausage Company have a shop in the Knightsbridge retail park just 2 minutes from the Pub, and sell to the public as well as commercially. They can be also be found at www.thegloucestersausagecompany.co.uk and on Facebook.
