This week, I sat down with all the staff to go through the upcoming events and just highlight things that needed doing around the pub and raise any issues that needed discussion with the whole team present.

Its good to get everyone together and have these discussions, it helps to keep the whole team on the same page and helps dissolve the niggles and the issues that arise.

In a way, its part of our January clean down. After the busy period of christmas, its nice to put away the decorations, get some deep cleaning done, put away the extra glassware, and  the staff for the coming year.

We've got some great events coming up with Valentines day ( we're offering the first drink free to early bird diners), Murder Mystery evening in the dining room in March ( 2 course meal, murder mystery and coffee £35 per person), March Gold Cup Racing, and Mothering Sunday.

Enough to keep us out of mischief until April?!!
